The Energy Markets Summit which will be hosted by Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority on Jan. 20 in Ankara, will be the most comprehensive meeting on energy markets, according to the head of Turkish Energy Watchdog.
The summit will be hosted by the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority, EPDK, in J.W. Marriott Hotel and the theme will be "Strengthening Regulatory Framework and Consumer Empowerment in Energy Markets: New Regulations and Policies."
According to Yilmaz, political and economic stability is necessary for the energy industry, and as in all other industries, an environment of trust needs to be created for investors.
Mustafa Yilmaz, the head EPDK, said that the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the summit will contribute in determining the vision of all energy sector partners.
"We want to receive feedback and suggestions on our work by objective participants who are not members of the EPDK in the summit," said Mehmet Erturk, the head of Turkish Energy Experts Association and the head of tariffs department in EPDK,
The summit will host the speeches of well-known and important energy players such as Mustafa Koc, chairman of the board of Koc Holdings, Guler Sabanci, chairman of Sabanci Holdings, Nazif Zorlu, Zorlu Holding chairman, Nihat Ozdemir, chairman of Limak Holdings and Gerhard Roiss, CEO of OMW group -the Austrian oil and gas company.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz will also participate in the summit.
