Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye decreased by 0.4% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 963,723 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,228 megawatt-hours at 15.00 local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,728 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 958,155 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.44% decrease compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 21.9% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 20.2% while wind plants comprised 15.6%.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 11,289 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 13,552 megawatt-hours.
